HURRICANE HELLENE Dear friends we have communicated little during this devastating time for Black Mountain and the entire Asheville region. One our power, internet, cell phones and roads to much of our region has been literally destroyed by flooding. Also, lamentable has been our inability to communicate with the outside communities and with each other. It has been devastating to properties and lives. Our beautiful mountains has as it were a drape of death as we grieve the deaths of people we know and those we don't know but the impact is the same. We weep with each other. Each day surfaces more tragedies and deaths of connections with people we know. We are stunned in silence as we hear each heart-wrenching story.

Funeral
Today February 17th at 1:00 we celebrate the homegoing of our beloved member Tina Norton. Visitation will be from 11 until 1:00. After being flooded out of her residence which she shared with her sister Sandra Helton in Swananoa they had to move a distance to other towns and were not able to attend church since Hurricane Helene. We have missed her greatly along with Sandra. Our prayers are with the family as we walk this journey today. The funeral will take place in Marshall NC at Madison Funeral Home chapel. https://www.madisonfh.com/obituaries/Tina-Shelton-Norton?obId=36967084&utm_campaign=marquee-share-button&utm_term=copy-link&utm_content=cro-1186-v2#/obituaryInfo |
